Energy Benchmarking

Building energy benchmarking is an ongoing measurement of a building’s energy performance. It supports greater energy efficiency, increases market visibility and demonstrates good corporate responsibility.

EMASS Engineering offers detailed and continuous energy performance tracking services for your building, provides Energy Use Intensity (EUI) by fuel type and Energy Cost Intensity (ECI) reports and maintains and updates ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager database.

The key objective is to empower local authorities to achieve energy savings in the built environment, as energy use data and energy efficiency can contribute positively to building valuation.

Whole Building Life Cycle Assessment - wbLCA

Conducting Whole Building Life Cycle Assessment and GHG Embodied Carbon calculation based on NRC Guidelines.

Level 1, 2 & 3 Energy Audit

The process of identifying EEMs consistent with ASHRAE guidelines. This includes joint energy management opportunities for low and moderate-cost measures with little consideration of high-cost capital investment. Here are the key metric including in our service:

  • Annual energy savings (Kwh/yr of electricity & Gj/yr of natural gas)
  • Annual utility bill cost saving ($/yr)
  • Annual greenhouse gas emission (GHG) reduction of (Co2e/yr)
  • Lifetime GHG reduction over EEM
  • GHG cost effectiveness ($ per /tonne Co2e)
  • Simple payback (SPB) and Net present value (NPV) cost metric
